| PAJARITO. Span. 'little bird'. 6 mi S of Albuquerque on W bank of the Rio Grande in Pajarito Grant. First memntioned in middle of the seventeenth century. Name may be dscriiptive of many birds in the cottonwood groves along the river. Pajaritois also a surname found among Indianfamilies, and is mentioned in the Cebolleta Grant area 40 mi W and settled at a later period. PAJARA . Span. 'bird' Lincoln County.PAJARITA. Span.
