COMENTS: If you check with your stateside SASS reps., you can find out when their next gun shoot is. They dress up in authentic costumes and shoot live ammo at targets for time and trophy. Real good times!!

COMENTS: 14TH ANNUAL CHILI COOKOFF, CHILI TESTING, GAMES FOR THE CHILDREN, AND GREAT FAMILY FUN!!!!

ACTIVITY: VISIT SELIGMAN,OLD JAIL,MOBILE JAIL,WILD WEST HISTORY.
LOCATION: WESTERN ARIZONA

COMENTS: interesting old style town, which would facinate > many European visitors,The jails are a must!!

ACTIVITY: Jail cut out of solid rock

COMENTS: We stop there on the way to Hannagan Meadow area North of Clifton-Morenci, to camp at the 9100' level, they have a train engine used in the olden days and first inmate was the jails builder as the story goes.

ACTIVITY: Ghosttown.... possibly prior to Arizona becoming part of the U.S.
LOCATION: Approximately four miles south of Waddell Dam and Lake Pleasant

OPEN DATES: year round access by jeep trails

COMENTS: Located on the east side of the Agua Fria river, about four miles south of Waddell dam. Can only be reached by jeep trails.Foundations scattered over about a half a mile along the bluff above the river. There seems to be about 30 old foundations left and some remnants of stone fences. While metal detecting the area, the author found many small calibre bullets, possibly from black powder guns. There seems to be the foundation of a main house on the southern area of the cluster and a stone fence around the east side.
