Alamo Crossing's post office was established November 23, 1899 and discontinued the last time December 31, 1918. Alamo Crossing was never a big town , a five stamp mill and a few stores was about the whole town. It was, however, one of the best preserved ghost towns in the state of Arizona until Alamo Lake consumed the site. The road to Alamo Crossing now stops at the water a few hundred yards short of the town. |
